Original vs Retouched: Should I Remove the Bruises?

Hello everyone,

Here’s a new post that lets me ask you a direct little question.
When I edit my shooting photos, I very rarely do heavy retouching. I usually just adjust the brightness and contrast. I’m not a fan of overly processed images and much prefer keeping light, natural-looking adjustments.

So I wanted to get your opinion on the example below. As you can see, the model (Rachel Adams) has a few bruises. These photos were taken after Boundcon at the Fotoro photo studio in the Netherlands. Boundcon is a very intense event for the models, so it’s quite common to see some marks when working with them right after the convention.

What do you prefer?

The original version with the light bruises, or a retouched version where they’re removed?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments! I’d really love to hear what you think.
